Connected Lane County is an Oregon nonprofit organization in Eugene and Springfield that helps support young people in their community from ages 14 to 24. They provide programs and experiences that involve paid-learning opportunities, career-exploration, and technical training. They also create and foster environments where young people can feel seen and valued, while also helping reduce barriers by providing supports like transportation, food, clothing, and resource navigation. Each year, they support thousands of young adults and continue to improve their programs.

As the Brand Designer for Connected Lane County, my design approach is always focused on strategy and intentionality. Over the past few years, I’ve redesigned, developed and evolved the visual identity for Connected Lane County, ensuring the brand remains youthful, clean, and elevated across every touchpoint. Below are selected projects where I’ve integrated brand identity, environmental design, and community storytelling to drive our impact forward.
Creating a New Visual Identity
Rebranding and Evolving an Organization
The primary goal of this project was to unify and elevate the visuals for Connected Lane County by resolving a competing brand structure. This internal competition led to community and partner confusion caused by three distinct sub-program logos (Elevate, Navigate, and Spark). The solution we found was to combine the existing strong icons into one cohesive identity. This streamlined and clarified the new brand’s community message while honoring the founding programs that started Connected Lane County.

Fundraising and Development Support
Annual Reports and Visual Proposals
My work as the Brand Designer often involved supporting the Fundraising and Development team by designing annual reports and visual proposals. These reports strengthened the new visual identity while highlighting youth success stories, program updates, and incorporating engaging infographic elements. My approach to designing these reports has always been focused on keeping things clear and structured to the community. Finding the right balance between text and data is a puzzle I always look forward to solving.

Donor Wall

Thanking Community Supporters
Following a year-long fundraising campaign in which the collective community raised $2.1M, I was asked to conceive and design a donor wall for Connected Lane County’s new Springfield location Spark at Booth-Kelly. This project balanced clean design with the goal of recognizing the organizations, foundations and individual donors who made the expansion possible. Additional signage for the space was also designed in tandem and created to match the donor wall’s style.
The new space brought new colors and styles that we had to integrate into the brand. While challenging, these updates helped expand our visual identity and allowed us to embrace using multiple colors at once. This helped us adapt to changing programs and reduced emerging silos caused by competing color schemes.

High Quality Photo Library
Capturing Their Stories
Over the years, I managed and developed an extensive photo library, capturing high-quality images that highlights organizational growth, creativity, and the strength of community support. These assets serve as the visual backbone for the marketing and fundraising teams, appearing across social media campaigns, annual reports, newsletters, and the organization’s primary website to drive engagement and tell the brand's story.
